Hello Everyone!

My name is Sarah Combs and I am on a mission to leave the big city and start a homestead with my family. Ultimately, our plan is to invite other like minded individuals to live off our land, dirt cheap. Our goal is to help as many people as possible. Our plan is to buy a minimum of 10-20 acres of unrestricted land in the mountains of Tennessee. If you would like to help move this process along a little faster...please help and                   to our cause. Once we are able to purchase the land and begin this New Adventure we will start a YouTube Channel to document everything.

My purpose for starting this site is to keep track of EVERYTHING I do not want to forget and to inform all of you.

Most websites cater to one specific thing so needless to say I have tons of good advice saved in folders on my computer, however, I could not tell you what was where. I needed a one stop shop.

So I am creating just that!! A place where you can come to find all of the answers to everything you need to know. A place where you do not have to pay a lot of money just to learn about one particular thing. A place that will have the answers to everything you need to know about starting a homestead, going off the grid and returning to a time when there was no electricity and we didn't have the option to run to the closest super market. A time when we HAD to rely on ourselves. If the electricity goes out there will be no Pinterest to refer back to. With life the way it is right now, taking care of two kids, being a wife and working full time...I have very little time to REALLY learn as much as I wish I magically could overnight.

So I say to you WELCOME and thank you for coming along on this journey!

Our Mission

Welcome to my corner of the digital world! I'm the founder and creator of Living Simply Practical, a website born from a passion for self-sufficiency, emergency preparedness, and a desire to help others navigate the journey towards a simpler, more resilient lifestyle.

Are you tired of the daily grind, the relentless 9-5 routine, and the feeling of being tethered to the clock? If so, you're not alone. I've been there, and I understand the longing for a life that's not dictated by the ticking of the clock or the demands of modern society.

Living Simply Practical is my way of sharing the knowledge, insights, and experiences I've gained on my own journey towards a more self-sufficient and sustainable life. I firmly believe that in helping others, we help ourselves, and this forms the core mission of my life.

In a world where uncertainty can strike at any moment, it's crucial to be ready for whatever may come our way. Whether it's a power outage, a natural disaster, or a sudden disruption to our daily lives, I'm here to provide you with the information and resources you need to prepare for the unexpected.

At Living Simply Practical, we're all about living off the grid, embracing the timeless skills of self-reliance, and returning to a simpler way of life. Our mission is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to become more self-sufficient, so you can thrive in any situation life throws at you.

Throughout this journey, I've compiled a wealth of information, from starting a homestead to generating electricity. You will also find step-by-step instructions for growing your own garden as well as building a home with simple resources. It's all about embracing the skills and practices that our ancestors relied on and adapting them to the modern world.

My goal is to make this knowledge accessible to you, whether it's through this website, my book, or various resources that I offer. Together, we can prepare for the unexpected, reduce our reliance on the conveniences of modern life, and embark on a path to greater self-sufficiency and resilience.

Thank you for joining me on this adventure, and I invite you to explore the resources and insights I've gathered here on Living Simply Practical. Let's work together and embrace a more practical, self-sufficient, and prepared way of life.
